Bodywork

My work includes aspects of Esalen technique, acupressure and Nuat Thai, as well as breath work and meditation. Clients describe my work as nurturing and sensual; the highest compliment I've received was one man who said, "After the session I felt like a new, totally-loved version of myself!"

People get massage for all sorts of reasons. It's one of the most enjoyable things you can do to take care of yourself. Among other things, massage can help manage or reduce stress and relieve headaches, backaches or chronic muscle tension. It helps muscles recover after exercise or working out. But massage can enrich your life in other ways as well.

Many of my clients report that massage helps them feel more physical and mental energy. And massage expands the body's ability to enjoy physical sensation and the joy that can come from living more fully in your physical self. Some clients report feeling more "at home" in their bodies.

Because I'm an instructor for the Body Electric School, some clients request massage that uses some of the Tantric or Taoist techniques I teach around North America. Feel free to ask me if you'd like more information; you can find out more about the classes I teach by visiting my events page.

Relaxing the body allows integration of the physical, emotional and spiritual parts of ourselves. Massage is not only relaxing and pleasurable, but can have positive impact on the immune system and on body image. People in recovery or who are living with chronic health concerns like HIV/AIDS are especially welcome.

If you've never had a massage, don't be shy; I can answer your questions and I'll take time to help you feel comfortable. If you already know that massage is valuable to you, I can provide instruction for individuals and couples to help you enhance the quality of the touch in your life.
