psychotherapy, coaching and counseling
Sometimes creating or maintaining a happy, satisfying life
requires help.  As a Licensed Professional Counselor with more
than 20 years in private practice in Atlanta, my goal is to listen
and engage you in ways that support a life of balance, healing
and growth.  For that purpose I work with people individually, in
groups and in relationship counseling.
The reasons people enter counseling are unique to each
individual, but common reasons include seeking healthier
relationships, moving beyond depression or anxiety, or a desire
for self-understanding and fulfillment.  The question beyond these
issues is often:  How can I live a life that would truly make me
happy?
Some clients seek professional help to explore issues of sexuality and sexual orientation in a highly confidential, safe and
nonjudgmental manner. Increasing our self-understanding in these areas helps us become more aware and more capable of
fulfilling connection with others.
My approach to couples work is to be focused and work hard to ease the pain and begin the healing. I work with all sorts of
couples and helped them achieve better understanding, communication and intimacy.
I limit the number of clients I work with so I can provide each person with the best possible care and attention.  My
intention is to keep us focused on your goals, which helps make therapy more efficient and cost-effective. While I do not bill
insurance directly for my services, many of my clients are reimbursed for the cost of therapy by their insurance provider. I
work out of a home office in the Virginia-Highland neighborhood in Atlanta.  The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet, even
though I'm not far from Midtown Atlanta and the expressway.
I’m a member of the American Counseling Association, the Association for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in
Counseling and the Society for the Integration of Spirituality and Psychotherapy.  While many of my clients are gay, lesbian
or bisexual, I work with all sorts of people who are interested in creating a better life for themselves.
Ready to begin making changes? I can help.
